Decreasing abundance and species diversity of macrozoobenthos in taiga streams during roadworks

The article focuses on studying the species composition and abundance of macrozoobenthos in overhaul area a large road facility that includes assembling new culverts, northern taiga streams being taken as examples. There were surveyed six small forest watercourses taking water from swamps belong to Chirka-Kem river basin. Four quantitative samples (area = 0.02 m2) each watercourse, one sample was upstream appointed background, other three at construction site. Invertebrates 50 taxa identified benthos, which 27 level. Diptera (23 taxa) are most widely represented. Comparison watercourse sections with background ones showed leading factor disturbance natural ecosystems is entering number substrates not typical for them (fine sand clay) into channels. channel covered by fine clay characterized reduced diversity (species decreased average 7.8 4.2, Shannon index 1.72 1.06, Simpson 0.77 0.57, dominance increased 0.23 0.43). zone also – 1 700 350 ind./m2, biomass 6.1 1.0 g/m2. Mayflies (Ephemeroptera), stoneflies (Plecoptera), caddis flies (Trichoptera) sensitive biotope destruction; their richness, abundance, share significantly work area.
